The Outlaw 100
The Outlaw 100 strikes excitement and determination into the hearts of trail runners everywhere.
This year, the 5th annual (in)famous race took place February 11-13. It entails two loops, one of which is thirteen miles and another that is seven miles. Both loops are ran five times each to bring you to that intimidating 100 mile total.
What Is The Outlaw 100?
This challenging single-track course includes roughly 15,000 feet of climb through the uneven, rocky, root-filled and, because it’s February, muddy and wet terrain of Robbers State Park.
That’s right, you’re running in the footsteps of famous outlaws such as Jesse James, Belle Star and the Youngers.
A Community Event That Welcomes All
For trail runners looking for an incredibly challenging adventure, this is it. For those of you who prefer cheering for these brave souls, the race draws huge crowds every year.
This is a community event that welcomes all. The race takes a lot of work to pull off, and it is pulled off beautifully by the organizers, volunteers and sponsors who feed and house these trail blazers who dare.
What’s that? You need a new training base?
If you're a trail runner, or training to be one, you couldn’t ask for a better second-home than Timber Ridge Estates.
We have miles of trail through the forests of the Potato Hills. In fact, our terrain is very similar to Robbers Cave State Park, located only 45 minutes away, and makes a great training ground for future “outlaws”.
Timber Ridge Estates is a trail runner’s paradise all year round. The Fall foliage and green of Spring provide a breathtaking backdrop during the mild seasons, while the Summer heat and Winter cold will push you to your limits.
And if you’re ready for a challenge, keep an eye on the Outlaw 100 website so you can register for next year! We’ll stick to cheering you on.
