The lake covers over 14,000 acres and has over 100 miles of shoreline, making it one of the largest lakes in Oklahoma. Whether you're an experienced camper or a beginner, Sardis Lake has everything you need to enjoy the great outdoors.
Campers can choose from one of three beautiful campgrounds located on the lake.
The Sardis Lake Campground, located on the north end of the lake, offers 101 campsites with water and electric hookups, as well as tent sites and primitive camping areas.
The Potato Hills South Campground, located on the west side of the lake, offers 26 campsites and a small swim beach. The Potato Hills Central Campground, located near the center of the lake, offers 29 campsites and a boat ramp.

Outdoor Fun with Oklahoma Views
In addition to camping, there are a variety of other outdoor activities to enjoy in Latimer County. Hiking, fishing, and hunting are all popular pastimes for visitors to the area.
We love Robber’s Cave State Park, and The Ouachita National Forest, both of which offer some of the best hiking trails in the area. The Ouachita Trail, a 223-mile trail that runs through both Oklahoma and Arkansas, is a popular destination for backpackers and hikers.
For those who enjoy fishing and hunting, Latimer County has an abundance of game. The area is home to a variety of fish, including largemouth bass, catfish, and crappie, as well as deer, turkey, and wild hog.
